2012 Eastern Championship - Newcomers Tournament

The 6-Game Newcomers Scrabble Tournament costs $30 in advance, $40 @ door, only in the case of evening out the field). It coincides with the Main Event, so those playing in one event may not play the other. Get your feet wet as a new player and meet other Scrabble players in the region! The Newcomers division is open to unrated players and players with a NASPA rating of less than 1000. If there are four or more players rated over 1000, they will be given their own division, with a $40 entry fee. Newcomers must be at least trial members of NASPA to participate.

The schedule consists of 3 games starting at 10 AM, then a lunch break, then 3 more games commencing at 2:30 PM, then an awards ceremony!
